by Tom White

Portrait Bronze Memorial Award Trophy of Brooks Wallace which was given out to Ben Orloff, Senior at UC Irvine who excelled both on and off the field in 2009.  In addition to being named Big West Conference Player of the Year, he also was named the conference's Scholar-Athlete of the year.  he is the UC Irvine all-time leader in games played, at-bats, runs and hits.  he was drafted by the Houston Astros in the ninth round of the First-Year Player Draft.  Tom created the sculpture and we were honored to be at the presentation to Ben in Lubbock, Texas on 7/2/09 at the United Spirit Arena on the Texas Tech Campus. Ben is not only talented, but a genuinely great guy and his family was wonderful as well.
