Tom White, bronze sculptor

From the age of 16, Tom White grew up as a West Texas carpenter from Midland, Texas who had never had an interest in, nor been exposed to art.  In his early thirties, after developing a relationship with God through Christ, Tom discovered an unknown talent and love for art originally expressed in wood carving, sketching and pastels.  Within a few months Tom picked up sculpting with an ease that was astonishing.  When Tom took his first sculpture of a native American Indian, "Edgewalker", to one of the largest foundries in Texas, they were amazed that he could capture so much emotion and detail in his portrait bronze without 20 years of sculpting experience.   Tom acknowledges that his unique talent is a gift from God and he seeks to reflect God's creativity by mirroring the love and emotion God has for His creation in each bronze sculpture Tom creates.  Tom's attention to detail is magnificent and bronze comes alive under his patient and steadfast hands.   Tom's body of work as a bronze sculptor has evolved into a line of figurative, commemorative and memorial sculptures in monumental, life size bronze sculptures, and tabletop bronze sculptures as well as monumental bronze sculptures representing what he calls "Heritage Heroes".   Tom does bronze portraits of children, soldiers, Native Americans, historical figures,Marcey religious figures, Biblical stories, wildlife, modern-day heroes such as teachers and mentors, Dad & Mackenzie loved ones, pets, sports figures, and symbolic themes both in bronze as well as in oil.  Tom also specializes in creating unique corporate themed bronze sculptures of different trades and professions.  If you would like a life-size or smaller bronze statute of a family member, favorite hobby or beloved pet, please feel free to contact Tom directly to discuss your bronze sculpture project ideas.   Tom White is a FAMILY MAN as seen below and loves portraying children and beloved family members.  Here is Tom, Marcey, their five children and four grandchildren.

Past, Present and Future

"Stone Eagle" ... Native American bronze sculpture by Tom White, figurative bronze sculptor, specializing in bronze portraits, commemorative bronze sculptures, life-size and monumental bronze sculptures, Christ statutes, religious sculpture, Christian bronze sculptures, sculptures of children in life-size bronze, children bronze portraits, and memorial or historical bronze sculptures  Past  Tom White's “Past” line of bronze sculptures encompasses all the great heroes of our spiritual, national, military, athletic and cultural histories, including historical, political, and religious heroes.  These include lines depicting the brave and heroic men and women who died to secure  freedom and peace for us.  Tom loves doing soldier sculptures in bronze, including an upcoming Medal of Honor Winner, Emory L. Bennett, from the Korean War.  The Past also includes Biblical and Christian statues depicting heroes of the faith who, though flawed, gave all they had to God and who were crowned with glory by God.  Past heroes also depict the great pioneers of our society who left fame and fortune to pioneer new lands and to build new dreams or to explore the world of science and discovery for the benefit of mankind.  Heroic people deserve heroic bronze sculpture memorials to commemorate their stories.  Tom is happy to do commissions of small or life-size bronze sculptures or even monumental bronze sculptures of YOUR personal heroes whether they be from your present, your  past or they are someone in history you admire.

A Heritage of Love & Learning ... life size bronze sculpture of boy by Tom White, figurative bronze sculptor, specializing in bronze portraits, commemorative bronze sculptures, life-size and monumental bronze sculptures, Christ statutes, religious sculpture, Christian bronze sculptures, sculptures of children in life-size bronze, children bronze portraits, and memorial or historical bronze sculptures   Future  Tom White's “Future” bronze sculpture line encompasses the hope of the future – our children.  These precious little ones are given into our care to mold and develop into the next generation of “Heroes” through diligent and loving upbringing and example.   The hard work is worth it when you look into the face of a child and you catch a glimpse of heaven and of hope.  Tom's art gift is uniquely displayed in his life-size bronze children statues or smaller size portrait bronze sculptures of children.  He is able to sculpt children  in ways that capture their innocence and joy in every day life.  His children bronzes evoke uplifting and tender emotions in his viewers. The emotional content of his work expresses Tom White's vision of the power of hope, learning and love to provide a better life for everyone within its care and the vision of passing that concern and hope on to the next generation.  Tom specializes in commissioned bronze lifesize sculptures of people's children, grandchildren, loved ones and pets.
