"Midland,
Texas Historical Mural"
First painting done by Tom White in 1994 along with another artist, depicting events of historical significance for the region. The
Midland Mural includes President George H. Bush, Sr. in the oilfield, Jessica
McClure -the young baby that fell down the well, the Permian Basin
ocean bed from which the oil and gas industry gets its resources,
Captain Randolph Barnes Marcy - trailblazer who mapped from West Texas
to Sante Fe, Dr. Viola Coleman, the Santa Rita Oil Well, the Midland
Polo Fields, the Scarbrough Ranch, planes symbolizing the
International Airforce and many other historical references and was
originally in the Midland Archives building. In the Spring,
2006, it was moved to Midland Public Library for permanent display.

close to Sunday River Ski Resort, Grafton Notch State Park, NTL
Institute and Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine. Tom also
keeps has a base in Midland, TX, his hometown.
