Kenneth
Lee Worley Bronze Memorial Challenge - Bruce Salisbury, MSG
US Army & USAF (Retired) is heading up this memorial challenge to
commission Tom White to create a
Memorial Bronze to honor Marine Lance
Corporal Kenneth Lee Worley, USMC, CMOH who threw his body on a grenade nearest
him and his comrades on August 12, 1968 at the age of 20. This memorial
will be placed in Farmington, NM, the place of Worley's birth. Donations
can be made through the Mount KIAMIA Memorial, a 501(c)(3) corporation at
mountkiamia@yahoo.com . Bruce
was instrumental in getting a mountain in Colorado named Mount KIA/MIA to honor
those who have sacrificed their lives in the service of our country and is
determined that the sacrifice of this "Orphan Marine" not be forgotten.
This is a preliminary sketch for the monument of a young boy saluting Worley as
his hero - (tweaks to clothing and stance will be made
when the sculpture is under way and as information is gathered from comrades of
Worley to better reflect his day to day service) |

The
Brazoria County
Wall of Honor (donations accepted throu gh
their website) is working with Tom White, bronze sculptor, to
design and create a memorial
bronze of Medal of Honor Recipient Sp5c Clarence E. Sasser and
of a Gold Star Mom receiving her flag for her fallen soldier for
placement in a 40 ft. war memorial in front of the courthouse in
Brazoria County, Texas. We, Tom & Marcey White, were
privileged to meet with Clarence in February '08 in preparation
for this memorial bronze. Clarence is a shy and humble man
who saved many lives in Vietnam where he served as a medic.

Tom White
has created a life-size memorial bronze soldier statue depicting
Medal of Honor Winner, Pfc. Emory L. Bennett, who gave his life in the Korean
War. This memorial soldier sculpture was placed at the Riverfront Park
in Cocoa, Florida, February 2007. The above photo features quiet
reflection by Mr. John Madison Bennett, brother of Emory L. Bennett, who
spearheaded the effort to honor his brother's memory with this beautiful soldier
memorial. His years of perseverance, hard work and vision were finally
rewarded by the placing of this sculpture. You can read about
Emory at
The
Emory L. Bennett Foundation homepage. Tom
is honored to represent this great hero and veteran who gave his life for our
