Carole S. Deutsch, “Welcome the Children”, St. Luke Catholic Church, Long Valley, NJ  “I am a writer in the arena of antiques and fine art.  Approximately six years ago I was searching for a sculptorstatues of Jesus Christ, sculpture of Christ, Welcoming Christ & Children to provide a memorial for a church.  Since I am in the field I was overly particular and also discouraged that I was having so little luck in finding my ideal.  I wanted movement, detail, and expression in a life-size quality bronze.  After months of research, I was about to give up when I discovered Tom White.  I was impressed beyond my wildest expectations.  To be sure that I was seeing correctly and not through worn out eyes, since I had been looking for so long, I contacted several museum curators from some of the most notable museums in our nation and forwarded images of White’s work to them.  “Is it me or is this man great, I asked?”  They all agreed that Tom White’s art is “in a class by itself” and that his attention to detail is “rare and unsurpassed.”  I have been following his career and watching him as he has been commissioned to do important projects for memorials and sculptures in public parks and squares, not only by cities in the US, but also by the UK, Scotland, and Canada.   He is sought out by prestigious organizations and individuals.  His work stands for itself.  I am ever intrigued by his ability to get subtle facial expression and emotion such as a twinkle in the eye and sweeping movement in a medium as dense as bronze.  Tom is referred to as “the sculptor of life,” having seen the drama and power of his unparalleled work, I concur that his work is all that and more.”

"This sculpture features the hands of Jeff & Kelly Dillard and all six of their children, which I sculpted after meeting them and taking photos of their hands on a 4'x4' panel.  It is made to be a water fountain for their home." ... Tom White

Jesus & Sami, Sam's Rock, Girl on swing, Jesus holding children, Jesus statues, Christ sculpturesGeoff & Debi McDonald, “Sami Swings”, Cave Hill Cemetery, Louisville, KY “Tom … he simply listened and went to work …  In the end it came out just right, right down to the chipped left front tooth.  So the main characteristic that came through …is humility.  We again shared many meals, many tears, and God.  What a grand trip.  What grand friends. The rest is really history.  The monument now stands as an answer to prayers we issued forth from the beginning with our pastor, Kurt Sauder.  We had fervently prayed that Sami’s death could somehow bring glory to God.  That it could somehow point people to Him.  God answered that prayer in so many ways as only He can.  But He definitely uses Tom as a vehicle to point people in the only true Pfc. Emory L. Bennett, Medal of Honor Winner, soldier sculpture, war memorials by Tom White monumental bronze sculptordirection.  All glory and praise be to God.  Tom White has abilities as a sculptor that can only be a gift from God.  He is a visionary genius seeing the end of a project while you are describing the beginning to him.  His ability to recreate the human form is incomparable.  He is honest and hardworking.  His greatest gift, rare indeed for an artist though, is humility and the ability to correct what a parent knows cannot be captured in photographs.”

Mr. Haskell Johnson ... Bronze Memorial portrait by Sculptor Tom White"MR. HASKELL JOHNSON" ... Bronze bust portrait of Reverend Frank Johnson's Father, given to him by the Deacons of Kelview Heights Baptist Church, on the occasion of his 35th Anniversary as Pastor of the Church.  Dr. Frank Johnson's father was his hero and Tom loved capturing his features working only from two small photos.  The detail is incredibly life-like.

Dr. Frank Johnson, Grapevine, Texas  ... "Tom you will never know the joy that I have received from the sculpture that you made of my Dad.  It is so much like him that I speak to it sometimes. I would like to recommend that everyone have you do a likeness of someone that they love.  It would preserve them in a way that nothing else can. I trust that you will continue to bless and help others with your wonderful gift." .... portrait bronze done of Dr. Johnson's Father

"A Heritage of Love & Learning" lifesize bronze sculptures of teacher reading to children by figurative bronze sculptor, Tom White

Al Savjgr, “A Heritage of Love & Learning”, Wilson Public Library, Cozad, NE
“I would be glad to express my thoughts of working with Tom on the bronze depicting my wife, Judy, with her favorite pastime, helping children learn and grow.  The Cozad Library now contains the first life-size bronze to be placed in a public place in our town … Tom was super in his creativity of depicting a real legacy of learning.  As a family, we are extremely pleased with the final result of sculpting and the patina.  The colors come alive in the earth color setting of the new library.  Tom was very deliberate in the many months he worked on the final clay models.  Each time we could see his intent to get it right for us.  I know this was one of his first life-sized sculptures and he did a great job of getting all angels of Judy “just right”.  Good works are worth waiting for and worth the price.  I have nothing but good to say about the final work and we are glad we chose Tom for this meaningful piece of art.  Tom’s creativity and ability to capture the moment are great assets.  Good luck with your future endeavors, Tom.”

Joe Agan .... State Trooper bronze sculpture by figurative bronze sculptor, Tom White specializing in family portrait bronzeLinda Agan, Sculpture of Husband, Deputy Joe Agan, Midland, Texas
“In 1993, after 30 years as a State Trooper for the State of Texas, my husband was retiring.  I wanted to give him a special retirement gift, but was stumped as to what that might be.  Then I met Tom and Marcey White and was so impressed with Tom’s sculptures.  I knew immediately I had found my “special gift”.  Tom did a beautiful bronze of my husband in uniform and the detail was unbelievable, even down to my husband’s badge and the unique buttons on his uniform.  Everyone visiting our home comments on it.  My husband and I both love the bronze and one day it will to our granddaughter.  Each year I find the bronze more and more precious to me.”

"Dr. John Bray" Portrait Bronze sculptures by Tom White, figurative bronze sculptor specializing in memorial bronzes, monumental bronzesJohn D. Bray, M.D., Sculpture of Dr. Bray’s Father, John Bray, Midland, Texas
“In 1994 I commissioned a life-size bust of my father, Johan A. Bray, shortly after his death.  The sculpture Tom created was excellent, done from pictures and our input as he created the work.  The finished bronze was a startling likeness of my father at his best, I could not have been happier with his work.  He (Tom) is a true master.”

"Welcome the Children"

Life-size bronze statues of Christ and Children by Christian fine art bronze sculptor Tom White

Glenna Bevin, Mother of Brittiney depicted in “Welcome the Children.” Louisville, KY
Pictures do not do it justice, because you just can’t capture the warmth and emotions demonstrated in the sculpture.  It has to be touched.  When I saw the pictures of the scene on the internet, I thought it was beautiful and I was excited, but when I walked into the cemetery, I was awestruck … I couldn’t believe that it was that alive … it was incredible.  It brought Christ to life for me … Touching Christ’s hand overwhelmed me.  I think the most overwhelming part for me was when the little sisters ran up to Christ, climbed in his lap and sat on his knee.  They were comfortable and joyful and it was so beautiful, a moment to treasure.  God doesn’t give a gift like this ability to create these sculptures for nothing and I fee sure that Tom will be used for something wonderful.  Tom went way beyond our expectations in capturing the love we feel for our daughter, her love for Christ and His love for all of us.  If a person has Tom White create a sculpture for them, they will be awed, inspired and overwhelmed.  We are grateful and blessed by the memorial Tom did for our precious daughter, Brittiney, and would recommend him to anyone desiring to express the life and love of their children or loved ones in bronze."
